چکیده
The aphase is rich in Ta. When the Ta concentration is less than 14%N, adoes not interfere with the slip mechanism; when the Ta concentration is more than 15%, ainterferes with the slip mechanism. The coherent at-Co 3Ta phase forms at Ta concentrations of less than 15%1, whereas incoherent 7-Co2Ta forms only at higher Ta concentrations. The interface between aand the matrix is an important factor in the failure mechanism.

A new dental superalloy system. 3. Microstructure and phase transformations.
A microstructural study was conducted on 15 cobalt-chromium-nickel alloys of the basic composition 40 Co-30 Ni-30 Cr. The alloys were strengthened by the addition of tantalum and tantalum-rich regions were found at the interdendritic spaces. The increase in Ta concentration caused a decrease in the concentration of the a phase and an increase in the amounts of the a phase. Excessive amounts of ...
متن کاملA new dental superalloy system. IV. X-ray diffraction analysis.
X-ray diffraction analysis of the alloy system Co-Ni-Cr-Ta showed that the ternary alloy base consisted of three phases (a, ,8, and v-). Addition of Ta caused a decrease in the intensity of the 3 lines. Further Ta additions caused diffraction lines characteristic of the intermetallic compound a-Co3Ta. At higher Ta concentrations, the intensity of the lines characteristic of the aphase increased...
متن کاملAdaptive Tunable Vibration Absorber using Shape Memory Alloy
This study presents a new approach to control the nonlinear dynamics of an adaptive absorber using shape memory alloy (SMA) element. Shape memory alloys are classified as smart materials that can remember their original shape after deformation. Stress and temperature-induced phase transformations are two typical behaviors of shape memory alloys. Changing the stiffness associated with phase tran...
متن کاملA Concept for the Control of Pore Size in Superalloy Membranes
A new method to adjust the pore size in superalloy membranes is shown, utilizing controlled cooling from solution heat treatment of the solid superalloy. Hereby, the nucleation rate and, thus, the size of the γ'-precipitates can be varied to a large extent. This leads to a corresponding variation in the pore size once the membrane material is produced by directional coarsening of the γ'-phase t...
متن کاملA new dental superalloy system. I. Theory and alloy design.
Basic factors that influence the physical metallurgy and the mechanical properties of cobalt-base alloys are discussed in this study; these factors include the coherency of the interphase interface, the stacking fault energy, and the average electron hole number. Control of these factors and considerations of corrosion resistance and body compatibility determined the compositions for alloys tha...
